Senstile is a startup in the Fashtech sector (technology for the fashion and textile industry) that is developing technology to digitalise textiles. Senstile’s technological basis includes a collection of sensors that capture the fabric’s physical data. This data is sent to a cloud-based storage system where artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms process and classify them to produce an individual digital fingerprint (digital twin) for them, finding applications in all stages of the production process value chain. Among other uses, this system allows fabrics to be classified based on their physical properties and their other complex characteristics, and can ensure fabric traceability from the moment they are produced through the end of their service life, including recycling and reuse.
