NAUTILUS Floating Solutions, S.L. is a company founded in 2013 by TECNALIA in the company of four other industrial partners (Astilleros de Murueta, Grupo TAMOIN, Velatia and Vicinay Marine Innovation) to value the experience and developments that TECNALIA had carried out in the Area of Floating Offshore Wind Energy .
During these years NAUTILUS has continued with the development of technology to position itself as one of the companies in the world that is participating in the development of Floating Offshore Wind Energy.
Recently, Grupo Jauregui Industrial Services has joined NAUTILUS, which, like the rest of the partners, contributes its industrial experience in areas of interest for the development of the company.
Offshore Wind Energy has had an enormous development in recent years. At present, and to solve the depth limitation at which wind turbines can be installed in the sea, floating solutions are being developed.
NAUTILUS presents a semi-submersible floating platform that combines the characteristics of low cost and low technological risk. The NAUTILUS design allows us to continue on the path of reducing the Cost of Energy (LCoE), which is essential for this new technology to make a significant contribution to the energy mix.
NAUTILUS has participated in numerous R&D projects, at regional, national and European level, validating its technology in various wave tanks. In addition, its design has been certified and a patent has been applied for to protect its industrial exploitation worldwide.
