IMG Pharma has participated in the work “CD9 inhibition reveals a functional connection of extracellular vesicle secretion with mitophagy in melanoma cells” recently published in the international peer-reviewed Journal of extracelular vesicles” (https://doi.org/10.1002/jev2.12082), being the first work to provide the first evidence for a functional connection of tetraspanin CD9 with mitophagy in melanoma cells.
This study shows that activation of a receptor at different subcellular locations in the same neuronal circuit can determine distinct behaviors.
The work has been carried out in collaboration with the research group led by Dr. Maria Yáñez Mo at CBSMO, joining thus to a long list of first level scientific publications whose main author is Dr. Gabriel Barreda Gómez, CSO of our company.
These publications in prestigious international peer-reviewed journals contribute to the visibility of the scientific-technical excellence of this Biscayan company, located in BIC BIZKAIA.
